THE RIDE BLOG: A DAY IN LA GRAVE

THE RIDE BLOG FEATURING (ALMOST) DAILY UPDATES FROM THE MOUNTAINS WITH OUR EDITOR AND TECH EDITOR AND THOSE OTHER RENOWNED POWDER HOUNDS, THE RANDO CHIENS. CATCH OUR RESORT CRUISING, OFF-PISTE, BACKCOUNTRY, SLACKCOUNTRY, TOURING AND EXPLORING NEW DESTINATIONS WITH REPORTS ON CONDITIONS, DESCRIPTIONS OF ROUTES AND IMAGES.

First up on the glacier. It can't get much better than that.

It made sense to nip over to La Grave as we thought conditions would not be too good for touring. And what a day, first lifts on the glacier (though pow was a little heavy/ wind blown in places).

We had two LG virgins with us, though one was born in Serre Che so could he ski! The other found conditions a tad tiring, but he had a great day! And first up on the glacier, can't get much better than that.

Had a heli rescue going on above us as we had lunch in Chancel all adding to the drama.
