The snowboard legend will take part in the first FWQ event in Hakuba, Japan, tomorrow.
World famous snowboarder, Travis Rice is competing in the Freeride World Tour Qualifier held for the first time in Hakuba, Japan, tomorrow, 13th January.
The Jackson Hole local, whose film epic, The Fourth Phase, screened last year, will join a field of international skiers and snowboarders at 'The Mix' venue on the Happo San Mountain which is situated at an elevation of 1950m and features a vertical drop of 900m at an average steepness of 40 degrees
Situated in the Japanese Alps, Hakuba has a long history of freeride combined with a reputation for abundant snowfall (up to 11 metres annually) in the surrounding peaks, offering ideal freeriding conditions. The region, which welcomed the Winter Olympic Games in 1998, is a premier destination for winter sports
