The 2025 FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance began with an adrenaline-filled opening event on the spectacular La Bamba face in Baqueira Beret with gradients as steep as 53°.

Justine Dufour-Lapointe (CAN) who powered down the technical descent to win the women's ski category in style, admitted to feeling nerves at the start before the steep drop-in but reminded herself 'to trust my body, follow my heart, and ski with a smile on my face' -or maybe poking a determined tongue out! (image above J Bernard). Victor de Le Rue (FRA), Ross Tester (USA) and Noémie Equy (FRA) also took category victories with breathtaking runs.
