It's not spend, spend, spend but give, give, give. On 25th November, Black Friday, all global sales from retail and online at will be given to support grassroots environmental organisations

On one of the biggest consumer shopping days of the year, this Friday, Patagonia will donate 100 percent of global sales taken on the day to organisations working in local communities to protect our air, water and soil for future generations. These are small groups, often underfunded and under the radar, who work on the front lines.

Rose Marcario, CEO Patagonia, says: 'We wanted to do something on Black Friday to make a big statement, to fund grass-roots activism and engagement, We shouldn't let anyone of any political stripe destroy our planet.'

But it's not a case of giving back environmentally just on Black Friday; Patagonia also funds grassroots environmental organisations by donating 1 percent of  sales every day. To date that amount totals $74 million.

In addition, a Patagonia Thrift Shop is opening for two days, Thursday, 24th-25th November at Village Underground in Shoreditch, offering fully repaired, second-hand Patagonia goods from £5 - £80 each.
